This just in from DrumFun endorser Rich Redmond...
Hey Guys!!!
I hope all is well in your world!!!! I just wanted to share my excitement. I thought it would be very news worthy and would be a good story for the 'News' section of the site. (Some of you may have already received this and posted...thank you!!!) I PLAYED ON THE #1 SONG AND VIDEO IN THE U.S. WEEK!!!!!! So happy! Musicians work their whole lives for this and some never get there. Hell...it's takin me 20 years!!! Ha!!!! Below is the official press release and a pic or 2 is attached. I'll enclose additional web links. I REALLY appreciate it! This is our 3rd #1 single I have played on. "Why" was #1 for 1 week, 'She's Country' was #1 for 2 weeks and 'Big Green Tractor' is looking to be #1 for 4 weeks!!!
Jason Aldean Rides "Big Green Tractor" straight to No. one
Single is Second Consecutive No. One Hit from Top-Selling Third Album NASHVILLE, TN - Aug. 24, 2009 - After only 14 weeks, platinum selling country rocker Jason Aldean's "Big Green Tractor" plowed through the Top 10 and planted itself in the No. one position on both radio charts today. The laid back country love song is the second consecutive No. one hit from Aldean's critically acclaimed third album WIDE OPEN.
"This thing has just taken on a life of its own...the crowd used to be screaming for 'She's Country' and 'Hicktown," and by the end of the first song, they are holding up "Tractor' signs and going crazy," said
Aldean. "Back-to-back number one's...I'll never get tired of the way this feels! I have so much to be grateful for this year. A big
thanks goes to everyone at my label and all my friends at radio, who continue to prove that if we give 'em something worth playing, they'll
be there for us. You guys rock!"
The smash hit has continually set the pace for country digital downloads at 50,000 per week, and it also continues to be the second
best-selling ring tone in all genres with an average 30,000 per week. "Big Green Tractor" also topped 16 million myspace streams this week.
Aldean's first-ever live concert DVD WIDE OPEN LIVE & MORE is in stores NOW!!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 10, 2009
MOTLEY CRUE AND MONSTER ENERGY ADD ADDITIONAL STAGE TO CRUE FEST 2 –
TWICE AS MUCH ROCK, SAME PRICE
REV THEORY, CAVO, SHRAM AND 16 SECOND STARE ADDED TO CRUE FEST 2 ON THE MONSTER ENERGY STAGE
LOCAL BAND TO BE CHOSEN TO PERFORM IN SELECT MARKETS ON CRUE FEST 2’s MONSTER ENERGY STAGE
New York, NY (June 10, 2009) – Crüe Fest 2 announced a partnership with Monster Energy to add an additional stage at most dates
on this year’s festival. The new Monster Energy Stage doubles the entertainment value at Crüe Fest 2 with five additional bands -
Rev Theory, Cavo, Shram and 16 Second Stare plus one band chosen locally in select markets, showcasing the next generation of rock.
With no change in ticket prices, rock fans will now see ten great rock bands for the price of one. For the cost of a Mötley Crüe concert,
fans will see a day long rock festival with Mötley as the headliners. Crüe Fest 2 kicks off in Camden, NJ on July 19th with tickets
available now at www.LiveNation.com.
Crüe Fest 2 stars Mötley Crüe with Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and introduces Charm City Devils. The
performances on the Monster Energy Stage will be staggered between the main stage acts creating a non-stop music event and a
dding to the overall festival atmosphere.
"It's always been in our hearts to turn our fans onto new rock music. Another stage seems to be just what the doctor ordered for
Crüe Fest 2 and gives loyal Crüe and rock fans more for their hard earned money. See ya there," said Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx,
Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Tommy Lee.
Mötley Crüe manager Allen Kovac notes, “Mötley Crüe has always added value for their fans whether it be through their music, their
merchandise or their stage production, it has served them well in their career.”
Local radio stations will chose the opening band in select tour markets where the Monster Energy Stage will play. For more information
about each local area contest and the chance to open the Monster Energy Stage, including how to enter, please visit www.cruefest2.com.
Monster Energy has dedicated its brand to live music over the years as part of major National and International festivals, specialty concert
tours and substantial one-offs, in both core sponsor and associate sponsor categories utilizing on-site activation through multiple avenues.
The partnership with Crüe Fest 2 marks the first time Monster Energy will have a mobile stage dedicated entirely to their brand.
Monster Energy Stage will create a unique online community offering exclusive content from Crüe Fest 2 acts, in addition to the local bands.
To kick off this opportunity, the anthem of Crüe Fest 2, Charm City Devils’ “Let’s Rock-N-Roll,” will be available as a free download. The new site
is set to launch soon, visit www.monsterenergy.com for details “Mötley Crüe is such an iconic band with the most loyal fans in the world. In a time
where it seems everything is being cut back, Mötley Crüe is giving more to its fans and at the same time giving up and coming bands exposure.
Monster Energy is proud to be a part of the havoc that will be wreaked across the nation this summer,” says Brent Hamilton of Monster Energy.
The Monster Second Stage will not travel to Minot, ND, Portland, OR, Las Vegas, NV, Kansas City, MO and Syracuse, NY.
About Crüe Fest 2:
The main stage at the Live Nation produced Crüe Fest 2 stars Mötley Crüe with Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and introduces
Charm City Devils. The sequel to last summer’s most successful touring festival begins its North American trek in Camden, NJ on July 19th and
comes to an end on September 5th in Darien Lake, NY. As a tribute to releasing a 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition of Dr. Feelgood earlier this year,
Mötley Crüe will be performing the entire album front to back at this year’s festival in addition to their hits.
About Rev Theory:
New York City’s Rev Theory released their sophomore album, Light It Up, in June 2008. A joint venture between Interscope Records and Brian
Howes’ Van Howes label, Light It Up features production from Howe (Hinder, Chris Daughtry) as well as Josh Abraham (Linkin Park, Velvet Revolver) and
included Rock radio hit “Hell Yeah.” The set follows 2005's Truth is Currency, which got Rev Theory on the road opening for the likes of Evanescence,
Papa Roach, Buckcherry and Saliva. No strangers to the road, the band also toured with Flyleaf and Seether with the release of their second album and
joined last Fall’s Jagermeister tour alongside Hinder and Crüe Fest veterans, Trapt.
About Shram:
Detroit rock trio Shram are Brian Shram (Uncle Kracker) on guitars/vocals,
14 year old Jason Hartless on drums and Dave Dion on bass/vocals. They’ve been
described as having a raw sound with crushing guitars and punchy pop vocal hooks that define the true nature of rock n’ roll.
The band released Disturbing The Peace in 2008 and have developed a devoted following that continues to grow.

WOW! We had a blast last week at the Modern Drummer Festival!!!
It was so great to play w/ my old band and hang with my friends...
Heard some incredible drumming and had some insane Italian food! Gotta Love NY.
One of the highlights for me was being recognised by Jason Bittner... He's not only an awesome player but a great educator as well. Jason told me he loves the Turn it Up CD's and really digs the Double Pedal Metal Book. He said that he uses the stuff with all his students. I am honored!!

Six Rock Up For Place In Hall Of Fame
The boys will be back in town in September when the Southland Musicians Club Rock and Roll Hall of Fame salutes six more rock 'n' roll heroes.
This year's induction, at an annual show that is always sold out weeks in advance, will include a trio of former Southland rock 'n' rollers who went on to forge a name for themselves on the international stage.
Bass player Roger McLachlan was an original member of chart-topping Aussies the Little River Band, drummer Bruce Aitken was named Music Nova Scotia Canada Musician of the Year in 2004 and keyboards player Neil Sutherland is an Australian award-winning composer of film and television scores.
They, along with fellow inductees drummer Bruce Whitelaw and singer-guitarist David Kennedy, all got their start as spotty rockers playing in Southland bands in the 1960s or 1970s, a halcyon period in the province's colourful musical history.
The Hall of Fame show will feature surviving lineups of the inductees' original Southland bands: State of Mind (Whitelaw), Three Plus One (Kennedy), Tarbet (Sutherland) and Roger's Dodgers with Jackie Cooper (McLachlan and Aitken).
With such a stellar lineup of musos, hard-case characters and hangmen featuring on the bill there's no reason to expect anything less than yet another sellout show at the Invercargill Workingmen's Club on September 27th 2008.
