Being able to practice along with my favorite artists and drummers helped me develop the skills that have made me a working drummer. And with the guidance of some great teachers and some fantastic musicians, I've learned priceless " working drummers" lessons... lessons that I incorporate into my gigging to this day and lessons that led to the development of the Turn it Up... series. Time, feel, taste, versatility, creativity and groove, those are what makes A Gadd a God. Here at DrumFun we've given drummers of all skill levels a fantastic tool for learning how to become well-rounded, successful musicians. Playing along with the bass lines of volumes 1 and 2 and the tracks from 3, 4 , 5 & 6 is the best way we know how to develop these key "working drummer" qualities- and hone your own distinctive style and sound- that will make you a valued member of any band. Most importantly, have fun! Sure there’s a lot of hard work involved, but there’s an incredible amount of joy and fulfillment to gain from it. It’s my opinion that there are few feelings in life that compare to the rush one gets from drumming, whether onstage in front of a crowd, listening back to that great take in the recording studio, or just being alone in the practice room, losing yourself in the groove.
Now go practice!
